Updated Information Regarding March 23rd Council Meeting

The City of Prince Rupert has been closely following the rapidly-evolving situation with the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. The City of Prince Rupert is committed to ensuring that we respond appropriately and in accordance with the advice and guidance issued by the Office of the Provincial Health Officer and the B.C. Centre for Disease Control.

Due to current public health recommendations, all public access to the Municipal Buildings has been suspended until further notice. In order to maintain the 2 meter distance from others, this will suspend access to City Hall specifically as it relates to Council Meetings. Members of the public are encouraged to watch the livestream on Citywest Cable Channel 10 and at www.princerupert.ca/live

Listed below are alternative measures being offered for you to share your feedback on the 2020 Budget, and to tune in to local Council meetings.

Step 1: Tune in to Citywest Channel 10 live or online via our website at www.princerupert.ca/live to watch the scheduled meeting at 7pm, March 23rd

Step 2: Following the presentation from Chief Financial Officer, Corinne Bomben, you may call in any questions by phone during the meeting to (250) 627 0935

Other options for feedback:
1. You may also email questions to finance@princerupert.ca through to March 27th.
2. Residents may also still participate in the budget survey available through Rupert Talks at: https://engage.princerupert.ca/budget-2020 .

All questions and answers, as well as survey results will be provided to City Council in advance of their consideration of the 2020 Budget.
