Tue, April 24, 2018

APRIL 24th, 2018 – PRINCE RUPERT, B.C. – Tomorrow night, Wednesday, April 25th, the City will be presenting an update on the 2015 Hays 2.0 vision statement at the Lester Centre. The event has been planned to share a blueprint for how the City will move forward into the next decade and beyond. The presentation will cover a host of topics, including identifying revenue challenges and solutions, infrastructure priorities, opportunities to develop our local economy, an overview of plans for Watson Island, and progress made so far towards these goals.

“There are great things starting to happen for Prince Rupert, and on Council we know there are many questions that residents have regarding Prince Rupert’s future,” said Mayor Lee Brain. “This event is about bringing the community together to illustrate the challenges we face moving forward, but also to highlight solutions and spark participation in designing our future together.”

The doors will open to the event at 7:00 pm at the Lester Centre, with the presentation starting at 7:30 pm, followed by a question and answer session, and an open house following. There will also be tables set up showcasing the work of community partners. The community is invited and encouraged to attend, and we hope to see you there.
