If you are planning to erect or alter a sign on any City owned property, you may require a permit. Signs causing a hazard to pedestrians and drivers will be removed by the City.
Actual guidelines can be picked up at City Hall.
If you are planning to erect or alter a sign on private property, you will require two permits: a Development Permit (or a Minor Sign Permit) AND a Building Permit.
A Development Permit, which ensures the sign meets development guidelines, must be approved before a Building Permit, which ensures the sign is erected safely, can be issued.
