Wind warning in effect for: North Coast - coastal sections

 

Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.
 

An intense Pacific frontal system over the North Coast spread strong southeast winds of 90 km/h last night over Haida Gwaii and the exposed coastal sections of the North Coast. The strong winds have slowly abated this morning.
 

Another frontal system will arrive tonight. Southeast winds of 90 km/h are expected to develop over the exposed coastal sections of Haida Gwaii, North Coast, Central Coast and North Vancouver Island. The winds will ease Saturday morning as the system weakens.

 

High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.

An intense Pacific frontal system will approach the North Coast today. Southeast winds of 90 km/h ahead of the front will develop over Haida Gwaii this evening and then spread to exposed coastal sections of the North Coast overnight. The strong winds are expected to abate on Friday morning in the wake of the front.

 

High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.
