Time is running out to claim your home owner grant!

This Friday, July 2nd is the deadline to pay your property taxes and claim your Home Owner Grant to avoid the 10% Penalty.

You can make payment by cheque dropped into the mailbox on the eastside of City Hall or in person via cheque, debit card, or cash between 9:30 and 4:30 on July 2nd.

Please be advised that wait times for in-person payment are long and that City Hall is closed for the holiday on July 1st.

THAT Council hereby declares that the meeting held at 5:00 p.m. on June 28, 2021 is to be closed to the public and that the basis of this closure is that the item(s) on the agenda of this meeting comply with the following closed meeting criteria specified in Section 90 of the Community Charter:


90.1 (e) the acquisition, disposition or expropriation of land or improvements, if the council considers that disclosure could reasonably be expected to harm the interest of the municipality; and,

Notice of 2022 Permissive Property Tax Exemption Applications

Notice is given that the City is accepting applications for 2022 Permissive Property Tax Exemptions pursuant to Community Charter Section 224.

Applications will be accepted until the close of business July 15th, 2021. The relevant policy and application form are available at:
