7th East Street Rehabilitation Project Starting Next Week

Residents – please be advised that Bear Creek Construction Group is beginning construction next week in the 400 block of 7th Avenue East and Green Street. This is a full street rehabilitation project to include water, sewer, storm mains, curb/gutters, sidewalk and paving, and will take a minimum of 3 months to complete due to the extensive work required. During this time, Green Street will be closed.

Pedestrian Improvements on 2nd Avenue

Residents - you may have noticed the construction occurring on the corners of 2nd Avenue and 3rd Street (in front of Canada Post). The Provincial Ministry of Transportation is currently making crosswalk improvements and installing illuminated overhead pedestrian signage at the intersection  in a continued effort to improve pedestrian safety through the Highway 16 corridor in Prince Rupert.

Potential Wolf Sighting in Moresby Park

Residents - Please be advised that there has been an unconfirmed wolf sighting in the Moresby Park area. Conservation Officers have been notified.

Given Prince Rupert is situated in and surrounded by rainforest, periodically wildlife make their way into the City limits. Residents are always advised to remain cautious when utilizing trails and use appropriate measures to keep personal pets safe.
