Boil Water Notice for Section 2 Removed

Tue, October 8, 2019

Please be advised that the Boil Water Notice issued for Section 2 has now been fully removed. Flushing of the system has now removed bacteriological coliforms that were the original subject of the Notice. The City and Northern Health will continue to monitor these test results regularly and will notify residents again should future action be required.

As in the past, this water quality issue is believed to have been related to low flows, oversized piping in that area, as well as recent storm surges. As a preventative measure, the City will continue to conduct flushing of the lines in that area.

We thank you for your patience and we apologize for the inconvenience this caused to area residents.

Note: Section 2 refers to the 1400 block to 1900 block of 2nd Avenue West, Graham Avenue, Atlin Avenue, Moresby Avenue, Van Arsdol Street, Alpine Drive, and 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th streets, and was identified in the map posted in the original notice.
